It’s a biggggggggg win for the Indian Team. We are the T20 (Inaugurate) world cup champion. One media person said, now any one can climb Everest but we all remember who the first one to go on top of the mountain. It’s very special!!! We played brilliantly as a team and won against best teams England, South Africa, Australia and Pakistan in the world.

'Nothing in this world can be achieved without Passion'---- Dhoni knew about this and did it on his own style. He is a cool guy and enjoying his new avatar. Being a captain of the team, you have to believe the mates and you must have confidence with them. Dhoni provided that culture to the team members... he believed Rohit sharma, Yusuf Pathan and had a strong faith with Jogindar Sharma. I think that's the reason they fired as a team. I certainly believe that we won the final match (alteast 50%) because of Dhoni’s captaincy. Though it was gambling to ask Jogindar Sharma to bowl the last over of the match…well it worked out for him. He potentially used all the players very well and more importantly they all played together.

After we won the match against Australia, Ravi Shastri asked Dhoni, How are you feeling right row? He replied, before answering you to that question I must say to you, yesterday I read your article (RaviShastri’s) in CricInfo, you mentioned that you are betting for Australia and most of the people commented us. We proved here that you are wrong….oh man what a style and courage he said that…. Ravi again asked, what you told to Jogindar before bowling the last over. I told him, you are the best man in the Indian National team there is no one to beat you. The situation is same here, the batsman is under pressure and bowl in the right areas and this the time to prove yourself….Superb….Superb!!!

I said before Dravid is a boring captain and may be luck was not with him. As a captain, Dhoni has a style of both Ganguly and Dravid. He is passionate like Ganguly and as cool as Dravid. T20 is a different ball game and we have to wait and watch Dhoni’s captaincy in ODI’s. All the very best Dhoni!

Apple introduces the long awaited iPhone.I learned from the website that iPhone is being described as a widescreen, touch-controlled iPod, a mobile phone and an ‘internet communicator’, all rolled into one device. The iPhone runs a version of OS X, allowing for full fledged apps to be created for the phone. The iPhone is a fully touch screen device with no keys at all or even a stylus. The screen is a large, 3.5cm one with a high resolution. It uses Apple’s new, patented ‘multi-touch’ input method that supposedly prevents any accidental touches or presses, boasting of a new level of accuracy with touch input.

The iPhone also has a 2 megapixel digital camera built into the device. There’s a choice of 4GB or 8GB of space available on the iPhone to use. There is no option of adding any extra memory via memory card slots. The iPhone is a quad-band GSM device with EDGE support Personal and local connectivity is handled by Bluetooth 2.0 and WiFi support.

Google Maps service finally available for India.
My friend had a requirement to embed India Maps and streets into his application. At that time google maps were not availble for India and after lot of search and analysis he choosen mapmyindia.com for the service they offered. I will now recommend him to change to google maps ;) I wish to see my orkut friend's list also in maps.

What a soft threat to Microsoft! Microsoft Outlook is innovating bigg way every year from 2000, 2003 to 2007 but Google just overlooked and taken significant step in competing in this space with Microsoft.

Check out http://docs.google.com. you can create your document & spreadsheet online whenever you access to the Internet, work on it and save it even you can work offline and upload the document. What’s more you can download your documents to your desktop as word, PDF….For bloggers you can post documents to your blog. Microsoft also introduced Office Live but I have not signed up and checked the details and its offering.

I am sure there are lots of advantage in Microsoft word & outlook but the entire world is going on “Mobile Internet” this will be more than handy tool. So, you can now create & save the document “Seamlessly” for free. You don't need to buy costly Outlook!

I learnt from rediff article that www.writely.com, the company that originally created the word processing software, a few months ago. Later Google had just bought over the company.

I am busy these days, working hard (?). My hobby is listening songs not actually rock or pop but good melody songs (especially Ilayaraja collection). My recent Tamil favorite is Paartha Mudhal Naalae from Vettaiyadu Vilaiyadu. Its good melody and another big hit song from Bombay Jayashri. She is always soulful and her crispy voice gives life to this song.

To me, the language doesn’t matter for listening melody songs. At office, I mostly worked with Telugu buddies. May be the attachment with Telugu folks (don't try to read between the lines ;)), got an attention to listen beautiful song. The song is Adigi adagaleekha from Devadas telugu movie,

The fans around the world are really worried about what's happening to me. There is no update from me and no one knows what i am doing? So, I was forced to write something today. oflate there has been lot of things happenings in and around me and also I got little work to do. I am confused about my personal & professional life. I seriously need to consider & take the next big steps in my life. I know, I am taking it easy for certain issues of my life but I think I got paid for that. I will elucidate the “great” work I am doing by extracting a dialogue in a RadioCity FM ad...

Me: Namaskaram!!! Aunty Manju….
Manju: Namaskaram. Where do you work?

Me: (proudly representing …) the software industry you know,highly paying industry….most of the people are going abroad know….that one.
Manju: Wow!!! What exactly you are doing there?

Me: (lifting my collar) …me?? The “outsourcing guys” you know….
Manju:she didn’t understand what this guy is saying… but stil she says….yeah…yeah….

Me: The outsourcing guys are giving work & we are executing here….

(Minutes after the conversation…she is smart understood this guy’s work...)

Manju: The outsourcing guys will innovate the ideas….
Me: yeah….

Manju: they will analyze the business case and they will decide the project...
Me: yeah…Yeah…

Manju: They do everything then what will you do in the office…..??
Me: simply coding… (Hammering the keyboard)

All media hyped about the test as Rahul Dravid's 100th Test & Sachin Tendulkar's 132nd, the highest for any Indian, finally result came as an anti-climax. Team India Thrashed out for 100 runs in the second innings, India had everything went wrong right from the toss to top & middle order diasaster.

MiG21: Fighter or Suicider?

The MiG-21 is the most built jet ever, fast, small and above all it’s simple. I learn that, it has flown in more wars than any other airplane in the world. Read more about MiG-21…Those who watched (who didn’t?) "Rang de basanti” movie might be familiar with this fighter warplane (The movie is not showing air or war show but the sense of it).

Unfortunately today’s headline read about MiG, ” Two pilots killed in MiG-21 crash".This comes soon after two other pilots being killed on Saturday IAF’s Surya Kiran aerobatics team crashed.

TOI report says, there have been over 600 crashes in the IAF since 1970-71.These includes over 320 Category-I (where aircraft is totally destroyed) crashes of MiG-21s, with 160 pilots and 40 civilians being killed. It’s a serious issue, more than 50% of crashes in the IAF were from MiG-21s. I don't understand how the defense ministry & IAF are sleeping till these years. Please first put aside the costs involved to buy this aircraft its loss of our warriors.

I really can’t make out, are these causes due to not having equipped pilot or its because of our poor training mechanism or it’s really problem with the jet itself. IAF should know the reason for these causes and should take corrective measures.

Here is in detail...
One of the more controversial buildings in Prague is the "Dancing Building" also known as "Fred and Ginger". Designed by the California archetict Frank O. Gehry. It seems out of place at first. Prague is one of the few cities in eastern Europe to have escaped World War II with minimal damage. So this modern building almost stands alone amid the many historical buildings in Prague. There is a lot of fascinating information about this building on the internet. So it pays to research it and read about it. It is designed in the tradition of deconstructive acrhitecture. The building is situated on a site where American bombs accidently destoryed a building at the end of World War II. When first looking at the building the left side seems to have been crushed thus recreating a allusion to the effects of the violence from the bombs. And yet at the same time it appears to be whimsical and dancing.

Save power!!! Switch off your monitor

I got this forward from my friend...
It's an effortless practice but didn't care before.After reading, I immediately turned off my splashing screensaver & changed the power settings to automattically turn off my moniter. Let us be proactive...[First I should switchoff my lights before I go to bed]

Here goes the message: But i am not sure about the statistics...

Here is a chance to make a difference, by devoting JUST 10 seconds a day. You don't need to go anywhere, donate money, stage protests or shout slogans.

How? If you use computer to work, just remember to switch off your monitor every time you leave your desk. Very simple, isn't it?

What difference does it make? Roughly, normal monitors consume around 150 W. Even if your screen remains ON for 1 hour per day without any use, energy wasted per day is 150 W-h (or 0.15 "units"). This is enough to light a small lamp for 10 hours! If you care to switch off your monitor each time you leave your place, you save electricity enough for basic household needs of a small family in a village! If your monitor remains ON overnight, this figure becomes 10-fold - so you can probably save elect! ricity for 10 families. And supposing that you leave your seat 5 times a day and it takes 1 second to switch the monitor ON/OFF, you spend only 10 seconds a day for this deed which saves LOTS of energy on a long run!

I guess MANI Ratnam deliberately went to bollywood after the Kushboo & his wife sugashini’s political controversial issue. (don’t laugh my friend information is wealth).

His next movie is Guru (Hindi) was all set to take off. The lead stars were in place; Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai are playing the lead in the film. Vivek Oberoi was finalized to play the parallel lead with Vidya Balan.

But now the parallel lead role seems to be in trouble, vivek Oberoi has opted out of playing that role. “It would be very awkward for Vivek to interact with Abhishek and Aishwarya on the sets,” says Oberoi’s close friend. “Abhishek and Aishwarya too would feel uncomfortable with Vivek around.” (Hmm….even actor cann't act in real life?). Now, the hunt is on for another leading man. John Abraham was approached but he didn’t have dates available. Vidya Balan now finds herself without a co-star.

Mani don't worry, people call me Software “Guru”. My dates are available. Is there any little chance of considering me?

Laughing Therapy…

It’s been long time since I saw “Just for Laughs Gags” show from pogo channel. This show is not like weeping vadivelu, kicking kavundamani. It’s a candid camera show, no one will be talking or asking you question, they shoot the videos of your reacting moment. Very good show you can’t compare this with “Bakkara” show from MTV. I am not going to narrate the one I saw from pogo channel…..it’s very difficult for me….

There are god gifted guys can laugh for any reason. But few god gifted guys, don’t understand that their big asset is smile. They get irritated some time when you praise them for their great smile. Though they can’t control, they do all nonsense to keep mum. (My friend, I am not guilty if this meant for you.)

Few weeks for no reason, I was tight lipped & showing my dump, deadly face (like PV Narashmia rao……? no….no he is much better). I wonder how our ex PM managed his tenure with out a smile. In his period, every photographer & magazine guy’s concentration was taking PV rao photo with a smile was really a great flash news.

Unusually yesterday went early to home from my office. I changed my dress, kept my belongings Mobile, ID card, purse….etc in the cupboard. Suddenly turned at looked at the cupboard, something in brown color was flashing at my eyes. I went and gazed, it’s me on my ID card. This deadly guy wearing brown color suit & blue color tie, big mustache, seriously looking… I didn’t control myself; I got the reason to smile (after a long time….). Till now I was using my ID card for swiping, I now understood that it also has the power to bring smile on your face.

I want to laugh more…thought for a moment, how were I am at my school, college & early stage of my life. I dug my suitcase; my time machine was going front & back for every photo. I couldn’t recognize myself on some of my photos….I saw more than ten “dhasa-avatar” in me… with & without mustache, beard, and tonsured, so different posture in each & every photo….all are good reminiscence, remembered the past incidents and my friends more than that…it brings me smile on my face.

You really wanna laugh….look at you & your pictures….

Who’s the real hero on a Sunday’s match?

Yesterday’s (Mar 12th) cricket match - quick look: South Africa hit a world record won the greatest one-day international match after chasing down a target of 435 against Australia. Look at the score card, nearly 900 runs in one day cricket. I missed it…didn’t get a chance to watch the match. It must have been thrilling rokr….

I am not in a frame of mind to tossup Ricky Ponting or Gibbs as the real hero of yesterday’s match. I switched the channel and wanted to know what’s happening on other side of the world (cricket)? Hey here it is …Formula one….

This year F1 season started, again everyone’s eye was on Schumacher. But defending formula one champion Alonso of Renault won the season opening match on Sunday. Seven time world champion Michael Schumacher finished second and McLaren's Kimi Raikkonen finished third.

Schumi started on first pole position and came second but Finnland McLaren-Mercedes driver Kimi Raikkonen started last on the grid due to car failure in saturday’s qualification but finished third. What a stunning performance….Kimi…

Kimi is my choice for this year championship… bet….?

Is Dravid boring captain?

Yesterday night I couldn’t sleep well. I was disrupted very much. I know I didn’t watch “AAthi” movie. I didn’t exactly remember what was causing me rather I couldn’t remember what I ate yesterday night. Morning suddenly I wakeup & went to the mirror, saw my face (this time not to see my beauty checking’s) my head was spinning like a drunken guy. I was so serious and vomited stupid questions and asked myself…. Why I am not expressing my feelings with my loved one? Why I am not shouting at my friend about what I don’t like in him? Why I am not discussing or talking in a group? (This is my stimulation of my “blog name”)… Why I am like Tamil girls (“Kalvura meanla naluvera mean”- don’t want to take risk in their life) to be precise exactly…Why I am thinking too many If…& buts to solve my own problem… Why I am not arriving at conclusions? …Why I am not doing this & that…I saw agony in my eyes…seriously asked “Am I boring chap?” Well I am not irritating you to read my biography here….just trying to fill up my empty blog space….Rather than trying to solve my above known problem…I wish to put ball on someone else court.

Cricket is actually an interesting game. As usual my character is not allowing to argue with “Other Side” (match fixing, is it better than tennis or soccer…blah blah…) of cricket with you. So I l give up....My point here is that these days cricket is boring, so dull….Is it bcoz of captains? Look at the Asian captains now “Dravid, Inzy & Attapattu”. They are great batsmen no doubt about their techniques. But are they great leaders or are they boring captains?

I zeroed down to one now, “Dravid”. He is the wall of Indian cricket, fighter as every one knows. Is he a boring captain? Hold on …I admit to myself that I am not the supporter of Ganguly. Interestingly there is a coincidence between me and dravid…. I am not great batsman (in AP’s college Batsman = “kadalai” podura payan) Then, What is that? …No doubt that I am a fighter in whatever I do (who else can say about me ;)) but that’s not only our coincidence…No suspense….He is a “Capricorn!”

Capricorn is one of the most stable and (mostly) serious of the zodiacal types. These independent, rocklike characters have many sterling qualities. They are normally confident, strong willed and calm. These hardworking, unemotional, shrewd, practical, responsible, persevering, and cautious to the extreme persons, are capable of persisting for as long as is necessary to accomplish a goal they have set for themselves. They are reliable workers in almost any profession they undertake. They are the major finishers of most projects started by the 'pioneering' signs; with firm stick-to-it-ness they quickly become the backbone of any company they work for. The famous Capricorn Celebrities are “Bill Gates, Muhammad Ali, A.R Rahman, Hrithik Roshan, Sir Isaac Newton, Louis Paesteur, Narain Karthikeyan, Tiger woods) are from Capricorn (I pat myself to be in the elite Zodiac)…..Oops I missed out my Moto CEO EdZander (wish he is seeing my blog!) But Capricorn is not always the most pleasant of work fellows for they are reserved and too conservative, valuing tradition more than innovation, however valuable the latter and they are often humorless.

In sports like cricket you need an interesting character (like Dubya -“Cricketing Match Person”?) to see and enjoy…. Chewing of VIV’s…rotating batting of Srikanth, negative tactics of chappel, wow bowling of warne, or at least stunning look of dhoni…. Cricket should not be boring like typical olden days doordarshan regional language movies… not too care of who is bowling or batting…The leader should take inspiring decision & the fans should feel great about it. Dravid is a tough Capricorn guy so reserved, humorless. But in sports or any team group you should not have these qualities. Capricorn symbol is goat…The leader should not be like “Aattu manthaigal”… Dravid’s thorn should not be in the hands of Chappell. He should act for himself & take his own decision or at least do some smiling or shout at a poor fielder/bowler. Not showing the dump face in ground…You can hear his captaincy after the first England test match…..Geffery boycott quoted “even my mom would have captain well”.

We had a discussion about this topic @ my close buddy’s house while watching India-Pakistan Test match. Thanks to my friend (my team mate & schoolmate of dhoni) from Ranchi who brought up this topic and he has interest towards the “characters” always. He can prove you with many statistics (I am not good at that….Well what you are good at?) about “Dravid is boring captain or not”. This is exactly the meaning of “Kalvura mean-la naluvera mean…” ….Am not good at arguing…so catch him….ha ha ha….

Am I boring person? – Well you have the answers ….but there is an exception in everything….My pal “palazghar” is an exception Capricorn. He is talkative, flirt around gals…etc. I think he is lying his date of birth…..

And lastly, to tell everyone that I am not “copycat”. I am not going to thank Mr.Bill gates for his innovation of MS Word…&amp;amp; the true power of it ;)
